The South

Every once in a while a commission pops up with no fixed spec. I was keen to do something from the Medicine Wheel which I’ve been working with a lot this past year.

When I asked which direction the wall was facing, I was told South, which fitted. South and the Serpent embodies the Fire of transformation, the body, activity, vitality and the protector of physical health. It’s also related to the timing of adolescence, so all aspects which fitted into this commission. The client was down and it’s been a pleasure working for them, with caffeinated refreshment’s provided and free rein to grunt in pain as I moved with questionable grace getting the job done.
